METEOROLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT LAB SCEP INTERN | NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
An organization of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, a bureau of the Department of Commerce, the National Weather Service (NWS) provides weather, hydrologic, and climate forecasts and warnings for the United States for the protection of life and property and the enhancement of the national economy. NWS data form a national information database used by other governmental agencies, the private sector, the public, and the global community.
The Meteorological Development Lab aims to develop and implement scientific techniques into National Weather Service operations. As an intern through the Student Career Experience Program (SCEP), you have the opportunity to alternate full-time paid employment with periods of full-time study, as well as gain eligibility for a permanent position after graduation.
